Fort Richardson has a couple of restored buildings, including an officer’s quarters that serves as a visitor center, and several ruins. In addition to soaking up nineteenth-century military history, the family can enjoy camping, picnicking, fishing in the old quarry pond (stocked with rainbow trout in the winter), and hiking along the three nature trails.

Fishing/Hunting

We are surrounded by three area lakes, Hubbard Creek Lake, Lake Daniel, and Possum Kingdom Lake, they are popular for their bass, catfish, and crappie.

Breckenridge offers some of the best hunting in the State. Seasonal game: white-tailed deer, quail, dove, and wild turkey; we also offer year round hunting for feral hogs and squirrels.
